Next gratuitous #RetroComputing nerd project: set up #OS2 Warp 4 on my DOS/Win3 rig.Continuing to play with it. So far I've got SimCity 2000, Lotus SmartSuite, Mozilla 1.1, and PM VNC Server 1.2 going. Gonna have to see if I can get Doom and Quake running before I set it aside.
One thing I've often run into is that a lot of the stuff from later than 2002 or so wants newer C libraries, and I haven't been able to find them in any of the archives I've downloaded. I'm wondering of most of that stuff is really intended for eCS/Arca rather than Warp 4...

Next gratuitous #RetroComputing nerd project: set up #OS2 Warp 4 on my DOS/Win3 rig.Got it installed! Everything worked out of the box, so I'm off to a good start.
Now I've gotta think of stuff to do with it. I found Lotus SmartSuite and a couple of games. What else?

It looks like all of my hardware is supported out-of-the-box so it should work well. I did a test run in 86Box and it all checked out there. My first impression is that it's like a weird parallel universe version of WinNT. Which, if I understand correctly, it basically is.
What's the essential "starter pack" of stuff I should install? I know about the Hobbes archive but that's about the limit of my experience.
