@lexinova @alfiekohn Isn't it EU based? To be fair, it doesn't worry me too much because of E2EE and the almost zero logging, but this last point can change any time if it's US based. Do they have a warrant canary?

For anyone you know who's still using Facebook, Insta, Whatsapp, or Threads...@alfiekohn to be fair, I only use Signal to chat with Fedi folks, the only way to stop WhatsApp here is to Meta to stop supporting the service or it getting blocked. Then people will migrate to the unencrypted Telegram.
