Most tedious: Everything to do with video game platform "wars". It's just pointless tribalism.
Most interesting: I've been following some gaming video creators who do some deep game design analysis and I think the topics about arcade game design are most fascinating since on one hand, yeah lol "quarter muncher" but on the other hand, I've seen that a lot of arcade games have surprisingly tight design and enemy AI (no, I don't mean LLM or GPT nonsense).
