thanks to microsoft ending windows 10 support while not letting my PC upgrade (debatable) to windows 11, giving me the push I needed

since I am posting here, I guess I'm also obligated to mention linux.
it's pretty neat actually. been running dual-booted fedora KDE on my main PC for the past week, set as the default boot option. if nothing bad happens later on, I can consider myself fully switched over at this point. (or mostly switched over, if I still need windows for certain occasional things)
