I am a mathematical biologist. My specialties in the field of mathematics are geometry and dynamical systems theory. I design and analyze mathematical models for natural phenomena ranging from the microscopic level (e.g. bacteria motility), the mesoscopic level (e.g. plant phyllotaxis), to higher level processes (e.g. embodied cognition). A common theme in my work has been the interaction between transport behavior and morphological form.
