Very locally ~ Need to return a bunch of #library books and get some new reads. But will wait until noon for people to take their pre-schoolers home for lunch. Also, noon will host our high temps after which Alberta the Clipper will sneak in to freeze us in our slumber. Stay warm and safe people. I'm a very seasoned Northerner and what is arriving is scary "kill you" cold. 🥶

Update on FedEx delivery kerfuffle :

After multiple emails and phone calls to Chemex with no resolve, I began to file a claim with FedEx over the mis-delivery of my coffee filters. Both processes were serpentine and very frustrating in nature.

Some kindly local resident early this morning discovered my addressed package in front of their home and left it at my door. The small box was cold and a bit damp so it had been left out all night. I called a Williams Sonoma store about 20 miles away and they carry the filters. I will be purchasing my coffee filters locally. Not all is bad with the world and after terse phone calls and emails, I am glad to "depend on the kindness of strangers ." 💖

I'm just going to say it. 2025 sucked for me. It was dreadful. The fact that I arose each day, dressed, fed myself, did all the chores necessary to keep this small home functioning is nothing short of a miracle. I had to replace major items, which means my savings is depleted by too much. How I'll get through this next year is a complete mystery. Just need for nothing else to break down and find some way to eat each day. Also, no more losing old friends and family members for a while please. It's just too goddamn sad. F U 2025.😠

The people in the Epstein communications are captains of industry, across all sectors. Their fatal flaw is molesting children. I'm wondering if their names are released, how their stockholders and corporate boards might feel about their pay and retirement packages now? Hmmmm.🤔

Driving off to have some people way smarter than I am help me set up my reconditioned, new laptop. As much as I appreciate and like tech, I have to admit that I am not particularly good at it. It's because I'm ancient and learned most of my skills in the old, analogue era. But I can quote poets and have read thousands of books which now is seemed as quaint. 👵
