The short version is that they seem to have overextended themselves, ran out of money and went bust. In doing so they left their cooperatives with unfinished accounts and a whole lot of sorting out to do.It's all a bit of a mess but the turbines are still spinning, electricity is being sold and hopefully some time in the next 6-12 months we might actually know when the members will next get paid.

I own a small fraction of a % of the Kirk Hill wind farm in Scotland. Once we sort it the mess that was left when Ripple collapsed it'll be a lovely counterbalance to my rooftop PV :) -
So anyway since I started following @JenJen who sometimes posts pictures of female characters with, and I quote, «her baps out», I can't take the name of this bank seriously anymore.@oblomov @JenJen
"Bap" is a regional British English word for a soft bread roll, which I guess is why it's also slang for breasts.The slang use has spread into regions that don't use the word in its original form, which could lead to some awkward moments in a bakery if you tell the assistant "your baps look nice today" ...
