@futurebird I seem to recall hearing a few years ago -- not sure if this still valid -- that a cracked, busted-up looking phone was in fact considered cool among the teenage set. It still had to be a newer phone, though; not just an old, janky one.

They had a section talking about how he had polio as a child and they went to great lengths to hide that during his candidacy and subsequent presidency. And significantly, how the media at the time was in on it, and there was an unspoken agreement to just not acknowledge it for fear of making FDR look weak.
There was a historian explaining that who noted that he couldn't imagine something like that happening today.
I think about that a lot when I see MSM *not* talking about Trump's increasingly slurred speech, incoherent rants, and dementia tests that he's not lucid enough to realize aren't IQ tests.
