we feed the squirrels outside of our bedroom window (almonds/walnuts/pecans/hazelnuts, and safe seasonal fruits/veg depending on the time of year, along with fresh water), and they've been even more active at the feeding zone since it's been icy/snowy and so cold. we love them so much.
i had pet rats for many years and miss them so much, so it's nice to have adorable rodents around
