@ada @oblomov Again, you're right. -
@ada @oblomov I am on Sequoia and this is from a 7z I got from qtc github. -
Tried using a Mac and apparently you cannot run third party apps at all anymore.Ok I found a workaround by calling codesign on every binary I could find in the app bundle but this is far from ideal. Am I being unreasonable?

I like how the os is killing the process (SIGKILL) and then tries to pain this as an error in the app.
Why can’t both Microsoft and Apple just let me use my computer? I feel like I’m going insane.

After some deliberation I decided to move my development stack from Windows to Linux.I have decided to go with Linux Mint. I'm not the biggest fan of debian/ubuntu based systems, as coming from FreeBSD I find the way you configure it odd (I just hate having system config and package config in one folder) and I know it doesn't have all the cutting-edge features, but I have no time to sit around and configure tiling window managers and neovim and tweak around. I just need the OS to work. And it does work!

Just couple years ago i thought it was unimaginable to make games on anything but Windows, but then Microsoft just pumped so much bullshit into the system that it simply started getting in the way of my work.
I don't require much of an OS, but it just should not prohibit you from doing your work, or get in the way. The amount of bullshit on windows is insane.

I've been using windows for over 20 years and always loved it's backwards compatibility and stuff, but recently it has become borderline unusable and gets in the way of my work.
It took me like a single day to configure everything and it just works, and also works better than Windows too! I posted a thread of my reasoning and experience on BS (sorry):
