FOSS software is not free as in beer or free as in freedom, it's free as in free kittens.I have both a free kitty, and a "pure bred" kitty that cost $800.
The free kitty was born feral, has hunter instincts, loves her monkey-parents to bits and busily keeps our property free of rodents.
The not-free kitty is an inbred mooch who is continuously offended that her existence isn't justified by her good looks alone and is useless around the house.
Care and feeding costs are about the same.
So, yeah, heard the analogy before. I'll take the free kitten every time, thank you.
