I have managed to install it on a 2010 samsung tablet, but not on anything newer because of stupid OEM locking the bootloader. I only had bad luck with the hardware though, because I know there are a lot of devices that are supported and maintained by community members.
That alongside waydroid and you basically have a non-google mobile device with support for android apps, which are sometimes needed for some usecases.

Just tried the duckduckgo thing@octopuddle @cwicseolfor They say they simply use lists like uBlock does, so I guess they blacklist either the image URL an maybe the entire host if there are too many reports on it ?
