@cybeej This is in the local botanical gardens where they have different varieties of magnolias, some which keep some of their leaves and some do not. Apparently there are both deciduous and evergreen magnolias when I looked it up. Something I did not know and learned today.

I am always fascinated by the winter presence of buds on the magnolia trees.
