@LillyHerself Stone fruit like peaches, plums, apricots, etc are a nice choice because you can halve them then put the halves face down in the pan so you get a nicer look when you flip the cake later. I'd have to recheck the recipe though because I think you do pre cook them some in a frying pan so they are nice and soft by the time the cake is done
