    @eq @Radgryd I have no sympathy for Mozilla when they say they need moneythey are spending the money of features they know we don't wantthey spend time building themthe intended audience spends time disabling themand no - their audience is not "normal people" - normal people use chrome or Edge or Safari - it is a self-selecting group that actively uses Firefox

    "Mozilla has been adding in llm & ai related features to Firefox for a while, enabling them by default without asking the user... The main problem with this is users are having this forced on them with no gui option to disable these features." Article contains instructions for disabling the LLM through about:config.

    @oblomov No it will probably go towards some random service they'll launch or buy and then kill off a year or two later.No money is allowed to go directly to Firefox development. That'd seemingly break some unwritten rule of our universe.Regardless, I picked up a shirt and stickers because I still like promoting Firefox and Firefox-based browsers like Zen (which is the biggest contributor to most at my work migrating -- replacing their use of Arc). The less Chromium in the world, the better.
