A West London NHS trust did a thing institutions almost never do: it chose the harder, kinder path. Trans patients in Ealing, Fulham, Hammersmith and Hounslow can use wards and bathrooms aligned with their legal gender — in open defiance of the 2025 Supreme Court ruling.
The usual voices howled unlawful. The trust held the line at the ward door.
