This is really exciting to me.
Firstly, because I was able to actually do it and my knowledge of computers is limited. I figured only the most qualified hackers would be able to do it (are there hacker qualifications? GCSEs? A Levels? Olympic medals? Anyway...)
It's also really cool just knowing these things exist and that it's possible to do the thing. It's hopeful. Things don't have to be the way they are "just cos".
That's fun.
