1. Bring up the debug menu (wink with each eye alternately 20 times and then sneeze)
2. Settings --> Life --> Intensity submenu
   1. Select "reactiveness" and set to 0.35 for smoother transitions.
   2. (optional) Select "empathy" and dial it down to maybe 0.5 if you keep getting those pesky notifications.
   3. (optional) Select "schadenfreude" and dial it up to 2 or 3 if you need that bitter edge to build your smile
