the jury must not know the trial is for terrorism charges & that long prison terms are possible;
UK media are banned from reporting on the terrorism aspect (confirmed by journalists);
the 6 must *not* refer to their motives for damaging Israeli weapons factories.
Arguably, Palestine Action is being targeted bcz of its effectiveness.
How on Earth will Starmer's pet judges run a trial in which the jury will not know what the charges are?

They'll know the charges are "criminal damage". They are banned from knowing that the defendents can be sentenced as "terrorists" (much longer sentences). And the UK press is banned from publishing the fact.

@DrALJONES I really cannot understand how a "principled" Muslim woman in the shape of the current UK home secretary can go along with this fascist nonsense. Presumably, she isn't really principled or isn't a Muslim in any consequential way or both of the above; a lip-service only Muslim, one might say (like most christians, especially US ones!) -

I seem to remember one couldn't be subjected to repeated trials for the same crime, until the persecutors got the result they wanted, but perhaps I imagined we used to have a form of justice?

Yes, agree. However, afaik, the previous charge was "burglary". This time it's "criminal damage". There's a pile of different charges.
