In #Friendica we cannot set the language for a post? Strange, because otherwise it looks far more featureful than e.g. #Mastodon 😞

In general, I like Mastodon better than Friendica, because I'm used to it. I disliked Mastodon 10+ years ago, because I was used to #Diaspora 😉

In my favourite #socialApp, #Movim by @movim, I'm also missing language features, i.e. set language(s) per post and filtering my #timelime by language 🤷

@debacle @movim friendica sets the language of a post. to the language of the interface.

which I admit isn't a bad default, but it's also very much not safe to assume, especially if your interface has a custom translation file :)

Yes, that's the workaround: Set the UI to one language, post in this language, set UI to other language, post in that language. Slightly cumbersome for people who post in multiple languages.
