Trying to commit to the #Fediverse is working. Followers are rising in numbers and I'm meeting some really lovely people here.
I've got a policy of don't engage with the trolls, just block them. My recent "plug" post went pretty viral (currently almost 1000 likes) and it brought a couple of them out - particularly those who think AI is the next best thing and tried to tell me it was lies and "post your prompt!"
Today I'll be spending more time on my streaming setup trying to integrate the chat from #Peertube into an overlay on my streams. Wish me luck!
Once that works, the #twitch overlay goes. I'll be focused on Peertube then. I know I can bring the chat overlay off as an html which is a start.
If you don't already follow my live streams and videos I'm at www.nomenloony.live and @Nomenloony@nomenloony.live
Isn't the Fediverse amazing?

being able to interact between different platforms is one of my favorite Fediverse features (commenting on a PeerTube video or WordPress blog from Mastodon is just *chef kiss*. This is what the Internet was supposed to be!)(Unrelated, but remember to add https:// in front of your links to make them clickable; also minor detail: I'd bet on the high number of boosts rather than likes is what let to “containment breach” and brought AI fans to your plug post).

@oblomov @Nomenloony@nomenloony.live oh I've noticed the bots. Ironically I've also noticed which instances most of the come from and I could just do an instance wide block, but I'll see how it goes for now.
With the http thing I didn't realise that had happened. I normally omit the www thing because you don't actually need it in most cases (I do understand how domains work FTR but morning brain isn't braining)

@nomenloony@nomenloony.com @nomenloony@nomenloony.live (I meant boosts as in reshares, not bots 8-) bots also have their role, but boosts are basically what ends up taking posts under the eyes of, shall we say, “unappreciative” people.)
