First it was "no bio+no PFP/header+no post history=no follow/block(in some cases)". Now some people are considering adding "less than 20 followers" to the mix on the new assumption that newly created accounts are almost always "trolls" and bad-faith arguers. Is the new method of filtering out reply guys to be just unnecessarily hierarchical in terms of social media metrics, or...?

I can see how someone running an account that is especially attractive to trolls, especially an account that gets a lot of visibility and follow requests, might find this necessary.
Keep in mind following an account isn’t just about reading the posts, but also can include followers only posts and DMs open to followers only.
