Tomorrow @samvie and I will convene a workshop on advocating for the social web. This will run alongside the #Fediverse track, organised by @fediforum.
We'll be at the Sheraton hotel, close to the conference venue from 10-15:30, with a break from 10:40 to 13:00.
Come and join us to discuss how we bring the social web to everyone!

@computersandblues@post.lurk.org Actually, this question came up when my acquaintance, @kodingwarrior@hackers.pub, mentioned wanting to use a fediverse-based event hosting service for an event he's organizing, which is when we started talking about Mobilizon. The main scenario we envisioned was allowing only those who have paid the participation fee to RSVP. And, of course, they would need to be refunded if they cancel.
@kodingwarrior@hackers.pub, are there any other requirements besides this?

@hongminhee I don't know about Mobilizon but @linos considers adding related features to the Events FEP

@hongminhee do you have any thoughts in mind about what it should do exactly? like: how would that change the interaction with the event as opposed to for example a link to a ticket provider, or a note about the suggested donation range at the door? i guess it could be nice to have that as structured data for searching & filtering, but maybe you were thinking about something else?

Tonight at 6pm 🇬🇧 time I play Zelda. There may (will) be latex... There will be unnecessary and pointless deaths (both mobs, and myself) and if I set my mind to it I might even finish off Thunderblight Ganon.
