A simple, minimalistic and well documented #ActivityPub instance server written in C, no database needed, totally JavaScript-free, no cookies either, not much bullshit.
A lot of fixes, tweaks and changes in this version, quick and easy update, as usual.

Mastodon is censorship-resistant because it is decentralized.
Bluesky is neither, even if they indicate a planned change for the future. Today, all Bluesky posts go through a central server, which none of us control. All posts currently flow through Bluesky’s main infrastructure, even if you self‑host.
Bluesky began as a Twitter research project. If Bluesky were still considered part of Twitter, no one would trust it, so they made it a separate company.

And I found out why my #Peertube was running a bit ropey... The version was about 3 years out of date. Now on 8.0 and wow does it look better - and it also now works with the app. Thanks #fediverse!

das ist anders leider nicht möglich. mastodon holt sich die "alten" posts nicht automatisch und alle posts einmal ins fediverse zu pushen würde deinen followern die timeline zumüllen.
