    One person's request for Fediverse applications —Alex wants to be able to choose what the preview image is for a video, chosen from the frames in the video....I can imagine editing tools (in Fediverse applications) would also be useful.It is also common elsewhere for people to be able to use custom images for preview images.#FediDev #FediDevs #FediUX #Fediverse #FediverseUX #PreviewImage #Video

    Good morning This account is still alive. This morning I was thinking about my privacy. Many say that fediverse is more private. But they do not say that when post are send to servers, we do not know how each servers react. For example this message publish 2025-12-09 will stay on different servers untilll .... I don't know. I will remove it from my server but some server keeps it 'for ever'. In 2028 maybe someone will see that message. But this account will not exists anymore.Now I delete only message from my server. In the future I will delete my own post remotely. I don't know yet how but I will learn. #fediverse #activitypub #question #thinking

    Today's deep dive into #activitypub#selfhosting a #pixelfed instance, I send a Follow request to a selfhosted #wordpress blog with AP plugin. The returned Accept Follow payload gets processed by InboxWorker where it just fizzles.I then send a Follow request to this account hosted on mastodon.social. That payload gets processed by InboxValidator instead, then on to ActivityHandler and down the FollowPipeline as expected.Only message difference is #mastodon adds a 'username' field.Bug?
