I think a lot about the meaning of punk. More than anyone should probably. When I was younger my definition of punk began and ended with The Dead Kennedys. I’ve slowly come to understand it’s more inclusive.
I think the difference between punk and pop is this:
Punk suggests that the status quo is not ok. Pop is unconcerned

Every kid is an artist, before society trains them that they’re no good.
Similarly, maybe, every kid invests inanimate objects with life. Not just toys but chairs, blankets, rocks, everything. I remember being a kid and having concerns about objects’ feelings.
Not so different from many belief systems around the world. Maybe they’re right, and we all know it intuitively, before industrialized capitalist society grinds it out of us.

Major pet peeve in shows: people hiding or sneaking in fully obvious visible places. Someone facing forward will still see you on their left, bro! Human field of vision is 200 degrees!

Some people mistake privilege for freedom. Then when equality is increased, they cry that their freedom is being taken away. They don’t see the value of equality, because it makes privilege impossible.
