A small sample of the many Eastern Water Dragons around campus as the weather warms up. They all have their defined territories but sometimes the world's slowest territorial disputes occur, whereby an invading party very very slowly encroaches on an existing territory and there is much head bobbing and circling.#AustralianWildlife #WildOz #EasternWaterDragon

A terrible photo, but I'm posting it because there's only two other sightings in SE Qld of this beetle on iNaturalist. It's a Pintail Beetle (Zeamordella monacha) and I spotted it very briefly on some lantana. #Insect #macro #AustralianWildlife #WildOz #ZeamordellaMonacha #PintailBeetle

This is one of our resident Pied Currawongs that turn up and ask for a few sultanas as a snack.It might be the one Lea calls Horatio, although it might be the other one (lets call it Yorrik for arguments sake). They're difficult to ID individually, but together Yorrik is the smaller of the two. #AustralianWildlife #WildOz #PiedCurrawong #bird
