1. I made bread yesterday, enough that I had an extra half loaf to use today to make an 8x8 pan of bread pudding. We were going to have it for dessert tonight, but decided that the afternoon is wet, dark and gloomy, and could be improved by a dish of warm bread pudding. We'll have just salads for dinner. (and more bread pudding tomorrow)
2. I got in touch with my friend who has started a little free pantry in her shop. She wanted a few things from Costco to restock, so I ordered those things to be delivered on Friday. I'm so glad she is helping people in this way, and so glad I can contribute.
3. We have committed to get another dog next week. My beloved Penny was put to sleep in early October, leaving us with just Kali. Our new-to-us dog will be Kali's half-sister Tempest, who turned 7 in September. (Tempest's nickname is Tempi. We used to joke that Penny was the first dog we had named after a pasta shape. Tempi will be the first dog we have named after a city in Arizona...)
