Summer isn't shy about making herself at home. My phone rang with my daughter asking for some immediate advice. I had been walking on my treadmill. Normally I wouldn't hop on the bed with my shoes on but I did so we could chat. Summer hops up and backs her butt up under my leg and falls asleep. Now I can't move or I will wake her up. My daughter just wanted me to to help her decide to replace her broken and unsafe furnace with a heat pump. Now we just need to figure out how to pay for it.Maybe a quick nap before our fancy lobster dinner that I still need to cook wouldn't be a bad thing. Maybe rest up before celebrating.#Summer

Not much time for tooting today. The sun is finally shining so rugs needed to be cleaned and hung outside. Air cleaners cleaned and piles of laundry to wash. Summer briefly talked me into tossing her stick. Today turned out to be a low blood pressure day for my husband so he wants to take things easy. Sometimes I think I should retire my account. Mostly because I don't have happy go lucky content much of the time. We don't want to be a downer.Don't get me wrong. We do have a good life. An abundance of love and one of the sweetest dogs in the universe.It's just that our activities don't vary extensively, we spend much of our time dealing with health challenges, and those obligations come before creative and more interesting pursuits. After tooting regularly for three years I might have shared everything at least once.Summer is our constant companion and though I got her out for a lengthy run on our property today it was too rainy for photos.While I'm writing Summer is teasing me with her pink bunny because she knows I can't resist and that I will take two minutes to play no matter what is on my plate. I feel like any day that we are well enough for an adventure is a sign. It is specifically a sign that wasting a sunny day when we can all be together outside would be a crime. I hope we continue choose all the choices that leave no future regrets. So we saddled up and headed for the site of the former Centerville Naval base. Perfect day on the north coast of California.Breezy but warm and sunny. I couldn't deny Summer a beach adventure. Just an hour out of our chore time to make the quick drive to the shore.
