Once upon a time I could climb the olive trees and that was my favorite part of the raccolta.Once upon a time I could climb the olive trees and that was my favorite part of the raccolta. But osteoporosis put an end to those days, and now my job is to pick sticks, leaves and branches out of the olives gathered by the others. I've seen the young woman who runs the local mill tear into farmers for bringing olives with too many leaves. She once complimented me on how clean ours were, and since I live for positive reinforcement, I now clean them like a woman possessed. #Umbria

Today is the 35th anniversary of my divorce from my first husband.Today is the 35th anniversary of my divorce from my first husband. He was a good man, don't get me wrong, but it remains, hand down, the best decision I made in my life. Good for me.
