Prototype 8x8x8 LED cube assembly complete!
Now I just need the acrylic case, but the parts are too big for my little laser cutter. HammerSpace (local maker space) to the rescue!

The solder party can finally begin!

I've completed the laser-cut acrylic enclosure, based on L3D's original design. This version includes a place to mount a #PixelBlaze & Sensor board by @wizard inside. The Sensor board has an IMU & mic so it can respond to movement & sound. Here it is responding to Restraint by Tycho, with a brilliant pattern written by @benhencke.
I hope to have parts for more available early next week.

It's super satisfying plugging them in one at a time while it's all powered up. 😁

Second 6x6x6 LED cube assembled! Took about an hour of assembly, off and on.

Parts arrived and I'm assembling another 6x6x6 LED cube!
Already found two fairly minor things I need to fix, then I'm going to order another batch.

Swapped the #PixelBlaze Pico for a Standard, and added a Sensor Board by @wizard. Got a pattern working that uses the built-in accelerometer to measure and animate based on tilt.
