“Who is your master now?”

The nor’easter didn't make it up our way yesterday, but now it's moving through with 46°F and 0.04” of light rain so far. Forecast is still saying up to 0.6” possible.

One of the best videos of biking the GAP/C&O towpath trails from Pittsburgh to DC. They inject some of the history along the way along with a lot of great shots. Looks like October last year.

Evening visit from the deer with mom and one of this year's fawns. Coats are getting darker and thicker, fawn has lost all semblance of spots. I think they appreciate that the backyard hasn't been mowed in months due to drought. That and the rich, thick growth over the leach field.

25.9°F/-3.4°C low at the house, a toasty 30°F/-1°C and foggy along the river on the first below freezing bike ride of the season. Everything warmed up after first mile except fingers, I picked the wrong gloves.

This morning’s hike was to check on our wetlands after yesterday’s 1.1”+ of rain. It was wet! Still a foot or two low, but so nice to find some streams running and the beaver’s dams helping to store it.
