Today, a (literal) nazi opened an account and began harassing people. We received ~80 reports within minutes. That may be a record.
We suspended the account, of course. But not before a lot of people yelled at us. For the record, this is not preventable when registration is open. We can only react. So be nice.
My gratitude and love for the person behind this report. It made me chuckle. 🫶🏻

Hey, Portland.Hey, Portland. Does anyone know the rank/roles for Portland police based on what they’re wearing? And if their authority changes depending on their uniform?
We have the yellow/black ones that are always on bikes, then the street ones with some wearing white shirts and others wearing the dark blue.
I’d like to know for safety. Also, I’ve looked online but can’t find any info. If I can get info I’ll write up an article and share for people.

The TLDR is on page 50, but I recommend at least skimming all of it. Especially if you want to use a VPN with integrity.

It sounds like everything about Mastodon will be the same, but instead of having to build/maintain your own server, they’ll do it for you.
