@mattblaze I've sometimes wondered if the "Camera Use Prohibited" was implicitly "beyond this point" or "don't take pictures of this." There are some facilities in the bay area that do classified work and they have these signs. And yet a picture of a boring building? And it if does mean outside, how far away? From space? Alpha Centaurus?

@mattblaze Woah, I have not looked at Leica for over a decade now and like I said Woah (juct checked B&H). I did my diligence when I decided to get serious with my shooting. I stuck with Nikon as at the time I could not afford it and the lack of a super zoom which suited what I tend to shoot I mean pro level Nikon gear is spendy but yikes, 2-3 times that. That being said they are fun to shoot, but I agree with you on the form factor. My hands are fairly big and like the sony's I always felt like I was gonna drop it. The Nikons I have owned D3100, D7500, D850, and now the Z9 fit perfectly in my hands

@mattblaze The National Air and Space Museum has evening movies in their IMAX theatre and planetarium. If you watch one late enough, you end up tromping along the Mall at night to get back over to a hotel by the White House because the taxis quit. Along the way, you can see majestic Lincoln like a beacon in the night sitting in his chair. It is very cool.

This motion study was captured with a Zeiss 40mm lens on a Pentax 645Z camera and 10 stops of neutral density. The 13 second exposure was timed so the train was passing in front for roughly half the exposure. The regular corrugated surface of the commuter train worked well to allow the station building to retain detail while still clearly showing the train streaking by in front. A freight train (which passed by a few minutes earlier) worked comparatively poorly for this.

Gramercy Park, which sits between Lexington Avenue and Irving Place between 20th and 21st Streets in Manhattan, is a locked private park. At the center of the park is a statute of Edwin Booth, a 19th century actor today best known for being the less murderous sibling of John Wilkes Booth.Only residents of the surrounding buildings are issued keys. There are a lot of rules, including against photography, so this is as close as we get. If you have to ask, you don't belong. Go away.
