Good morning! It takes a little bit more effort to make sure I get at least 2 women as facilitators each month. Inclusion takes work, and the work has always paid off, month after month and year after year.
Intentional effort goes a long way into building that community you want to surround yourself with. Especially in the tech community.

Good morning! It takes a few seconds to load, but check out what today's panel looks like! https://productto.org/next/
Definitely can't pull this off every month, but these are all deeply impressive people in my field too.

Good morning!Good morning! It's ProductTO day and all my favourite people are coming!

In a few years my husband wants to go to China.@futurebird Shangri-la was one of my favourite places. Most of Yunnan is gorgeous. I spent a year in Chongqing and it's probably a completely different city by now. They built like 5 subway lines that year.

I've spent the last 10 years in tech. For my current professional career, my strongest advocate has been Jenny Wanger.
She's one of the most prominent voices in product operations, and genuinely one of the most brilliant people I've ever met in my life.
My #1 career advocate. It's such an honour to have that kind of recognition.
You can read her work here:

I've spent the last 10 years in tech. This is all starting to change though, and I think it came out of being intentional about who I platform and how. Where do I spend my time? How do I be intentional about the content I consume, and how do I increase the volume of industry content from people who identify as women or non-binary people?
When I go to product events now, I spend more time talking to women and non-binary people. These conversations are so much better.
Once you start looking, you find an incredible gold mine of brilliant tech people, like:
- @RuthMalan
- @dahukanna
- @grimalkina
- @elizayer
- @hazelweakly
- @renata
- @iris_meredith
- @mcc
- @cwebberAll people who absolutely need to be platformed more.
What's your content diet, and how do actively shift your consumption to something more interesting?

I've spent the last 10 years in tech.I've been really lucky to have so many high profile men/allies support me in my journey. They shared their platform with me and actively sponsor my work.
But where are the women? Is it because I never sought out community with women because I never felt like I belonged there?
I don't know.

I've spent the last 10 years in tech.I've spent the last 10 years in tech. I'm trying to come up with a list of women who've truly advocated for me in my career, and my list is so much longer from the years before tech. In recent years, my woman-identified advocates have been from outside tech too.
Such an uncomfortable fact to sit with.

Accenture are firing people who don't use Copilot enough.@GossiTheDog IMO, this is a great time to make co-pilot write you a script to run co-pilot, then you can call it "agentic".

I am pretty sure besides @pluralistic I am the furthest speaker from #FediMTL right now.@evan I'm sorry for your loss and the flight delays. Hopefully you'll get there in time for some of the festivities.

Which of these new kinds of food would you want named after you?@evan fruit! I'd probably be allergic to it for maximum irony.
