@thesinkingbelle Yes i've read some of guy's writing and particularly enjoyed the lost rainforests of britain — he's definitely highly political though (to the point of potential bias in some cases imo. there's always nuance).

@thesinkingbelle yes it's true, that being said, scotland ironically has some of the world's best public access rights under the land reform act. "right to roam", or more accurately right to responsible access, means you can explore some pretty amazing places completely free!

Inversion Sunrise, Scottish Highlands (2024).

The recent cold snaps in the UK have made me think back to some excellent mornings a couple years ago in the Highlands where I explored a rewilding glen in inversion conditions. The glowing light and sub zero temperatures in the birch lined valley made for stunning photographic opportunities.
