Yesterday, I spontaneously stepped in for a colleague's museum tour. It was my first time in a long while, so I had no chance to worry about having forgotten everything.
The visitors had an unfamiliar accent (for me) and were enthusiastic. My colleagues congratulated me, saying I had just given a perfect tour in French.

The people with the accent were Belgians, and I thought I had been speaking German. 😂
