I wonder if the configuration space of all genomes contains a version of rice that is popcorn.@mcc as far as i know you basically can't puff rice at home because it requires high pressure.
potentially the object known as the "popcorn cannon" can do it, but honestly popcorn cannons seem like extremely dangerous devices to begin with and it seems like a bad idea.

I would like to give an update on "federation" on Bluesky@mcc I guess you could simultaneously see this as a success and a failure for ATproto: decentralization is possible... but you immediately get a lot of the same problems ActivityPub has that ATProto ostensibly solved.

Fundamentally, mastodon (and twitter, bluesky, etc etc) doesn't really work for me.
