@stefano Love the update. You're right to be sceptical, it's always 'one bad apple' but there's usually a whole orchard really, because bad apples need to be enabled.

Yesterday I lost a client. -
Over the weekend, 17,000 people canceled their #WorldCup tickets@pascaline @benroyce I struggle to sew now because it was so gendered in school. I'd rather they taught ALL of us to knit and sew....but we did a little sampler work once but it wasm't a thing.
Also being 'knot blind' doesn't help. It's not exactly dyspraxia but something like that, I can't tie knots at all, ties are a problem.

Over the weekend, 17,000 people canceled their #WorldCup tickets@pascaline @benroyce also sports were gendered - boys had to play rugby, football and sometimes hockey. Only the girls could play tennis which I wanted to play. And I wasn't good at swimming - again I was abandoned cos I didn't progress fast enough and left to the shallow end.
There was no choice, and I didn't like team sports.

Over the weekend, 17,000 people canceled their #WorldCup tickets@pascaline @benroyce the weird thing?
At break, I was happy to play rounders - someone brought in a ball and bat...or football with a tennis ball with my mates - with one goal made of bags or coats!
But when it came to organised games, I was always picked last and the PE teachers would give me aggro.
So I wasn't against sports, or exercise but something horrible came in when it was made official. Competitiveness is ugly.

Over the weekend, 17,000 people canceled their #WorldCup tickets@pascaline @benroyce sadly that happens in all sports, holliganism and destruction, football isn't alone in that.
But yes although football is massive here in the UK, I've never got it. Watched the odd World Cup, but not really into sportsball. I was constantly criticised at school for not getting into team sports, and the fans of same can be very homophobic so avoided.

Yesterday I lost a client.@stefano reminds me of freelance gigs where they would INSIST I come in on the weekend, and I said 'OK, speak to my agency about the overtime rates' which were 1 1/2x or 2x, and I was already on a fairly hefty day/hourly rate.
Funnily enough the emergency evaporated when they had to pay for it.
‘Lack of Planning on Your Part Doesn’t Constitute an Emergency on My Part’ is the key phrase here.
Also my late partner not having a mobile really helped on days where the client wanted to push the hours late on a day rate! Like I am not going to stay if I'm not paid? But on a Friday I couldn't phone him to let nim know I was late...LOL.

Over the weekend, 17,000 people canceled their #WorldCup tickets@benroyce I am amazed anyone travels to the US for ANYTHING - be it World Cup or Olympics, They have put our citizens in ICE detention, and those of fellow Europeans.
