@dilmandila I love these types of artist, such a fleeting bit of history of an other person's soul you crossed paths with at some time in the past. It's a real treat to have experienced it and to remember back to it.
I've got CDs and mp3s of long-gone local artists who's lives moved on away from their music too, it's good to keep their artistic spirit alive from time to time. Even some songs stuck in my head I'd loved live that never got recorded. It's profoundly beautiful stuff

Does anyone else have songs from artists who perhaps never made it beyond a handful of fans? -
Forgot to say, I finally joined The Green Party of England and Wales recently.@unchartedworlds yeah I feel you with that, I struggle to be heartily affiliated to any political or activist group in general but I'm sure I can work on myself to push past that in this instance, it feels worth a shot

Party politics has always been garbage to me but I really think they're onto something within that space recently and worth more support than just a simple vote x

Mozilla is asking for feedback@amberage @researchfairy oh my god how did you get this photo from within Mozilla HQ?!
-
Mozilla is asking for feedback@mplouffe @researchfairy oh noooo I missed that! What will happen -at best- is an "opt-out by default but we will keep asking and if you've already clicked on an AI thing in a previous version by accident we will presume you want opt-in" instead of "we actually want to be an ethical alternative to *waves hands at entire tech eco system*"

Mozilla is asking for feedback@mplouffe @researchfairy let's be honest whatever the results are literally nothing good will come of it

Mozilla is asking for feedback@researchfairy "(Select 3)" doesn't actually need 3 to be selected

You know these RAM prices/shortages?The person that got a 7200MHz 32GB 2x16GB kit from me for £150 in their build, because I still had it in stock the other week got the steal of the year. It had been in stock for ages because I thought the price was a bit high then, but the same kit is pushing £400 now. Fully. Ridiculous. Times.
-
You know these RAM prices/shortages?I've just negotiated some "deals" (I am in hell, Christmas is cancelled now) to tide me by for stock just so I have something at all in hand for now on the presumption that nobody will really be buying any of it anyway unless they're desperate and that's the end of my PC building career for a good long while I guess 🤷
-
You know these RAM prices/shortages?You know these RAM prices/shortages? The chats behind the scenes between distributors and vendors and SIs and stuff are being both hilarious and fully bleak. Nobody is going to be buying a new build PC from me for a very very long time now I can tell you that. Convincing people to pay these prices is not going to be fun in the slightest. I'll be making so many quotes that get abandoned 😬

If you run a business, make sure that you're publicly, vocally, and consistently anti-racist.If you're a business owner, you want the racists to be boycotting you because you don't want racist customers coming through your door anyway. The system works, honestly

People that are racist will remove themselves, and racists are typically awful to deal with in other ways because they are nasty, selfish, and cruel people in general.
People worth dealing with will feel more taken care of and you'll probably find yourself getting new customers if you're known for being decent like that anyway. It's a win-win, honestly.
