Or actually, the drains aren’t clogged, but the plug mechanism is stuck. Once the plug had been pushed closed, apparently by the cleaning stuff to reduce smell from the drain, it was fairly impossible to get it open again. The lever behind the faucet doesn’t work.
Luckily I had a small suitable universal tool (read: nail scissors).

In other words, welcome to southern Europe.

I never understood what’s wrong with a plain simple separate rubber plug instead of these silly mechanisms.

Both the washbasin and bidet drains are completely clogged in my hotel room’s bathroom. The toilet works at least. And let’s hope the shower drain, too. That’s what you get for choosing a cheap hotel. Hotel Flora, Milan. Not recommended.

So, what are the mandatory art things to visit in #Milano tomorrow? Have been to the Pinacoteca di Brera 2023 or 2024, so not necessarily that. The Triennale has interesting temporary exhibitions, no? And the Fondazione Prada. Any less obvious ones?

(Not interested in that Lionardo thing. Sure, it is famous, but yeah.)

Pro Tip: Now and then, git grep your source code for occurrences of the string literal "file://". It is almost always a sign of a bug. You can not create a file: URI by just prefixing an absolute pathname with "file://". Especially not on Windows, but you shouldn't do it on POSIX either, in case the pathname might contain for instance spaces.

And yes, some people do use file and folder* names with spaces even on Linux.

Especially all the hundreds of millions of people who now have switched from Windows to Linux thanks to #EndOf10 if one believes Linux advocates. Why would they know to avoid spaces in names when such have been completely normal on Windows?

*) I say folder instead of directory just to annoy people who get annoyed by that.
