I did buy a ticket for four visits to Le Vie dei Tesori places, and then picked four places that I came across in the centre. It was a bit of hit-and-miss. One was quite interesting, one a bit less, one was in theory interesting but not so much in practice, and one was downright boring. Won't name and shame, though. And of course, if I knew Italian, I would have learned more from the guided tours. (In one place the guide did do it in both Italian and English.)

In the end I arrived in Palermo with just around 15 minutes delay.As the train stops in the south for exit only, it didn't even bother to stop at stations nobody had a ticket to, like Cefalù.

Or actually, the drains aren’t clogged, but the plug mechanism is stuck. Once the plug had been pushed closed, apparently by the cleaning stuff to reduce smell from the drain, it was fairly impossible to get it open again. The lever behind the faucet doesn’t work. Luckily I had a small suitable universal tool (read: nail scissors).In other words, welcome to southern Europe.I never understood what’s wrong with a plain simple separate rubber plug instead of these silly mechanisms.

So, what are the mandatory art things to visit in #Milano tomorrow? Have been to the Pinacoteca di Brera 2023 or 2024, so not necessarily that. The Triennale has interesting temporary exhibitions, no? And the Fondazione Prada. Any less obvious ones?(Not interested in that Lionardo thing. Sure, it is famous, but yeah.)
