In case anyone was wondering how the Celestarium shawl is coming along:Round 120 of 156
The thing I truly love about long projects like this is the ability to just sink into the present moment
I’m making blue stitches, I’m occasionally placing a bead, and I know I will be doing these two things for probably the next month to three months
It becomes what feels like a timeless activity. Click, click, click, bead, click click click

Still blue. Still beaded. Still going to take approximately 6,789 months to finish

In case anyone was wondering how the Celestarium shawl is coming along:I don’t know how other people knit this pattern, but one thing I for sure am not doing is ceaselessly counting while knitting
At the beginning of the round, I insert locking stitch markers where each YO or bead should go, and then knit merrily away without needing to count at all while I work
Also, I can obsessively count & recount while placing the stitch markers, instead of reknitting for fear I missed something #Knitting #FiberArts

(Dear reader, she is nowhere near finished. She’s just delusional, and we shall leave her to her happy obliviousness.)

It is blue. It has sparkles. It has several lifelines and soooo many stitch markers. I’m happy with it, but there’s soooo much of it left to knit
