@cwebber minor point: it's basically against the uniform code of military justice for anyone in that room to give any public pushback. You might get some from retired individuals, but nothing from anyone active duty unless they wanted to be reduced in rank and fired.

@cloudhop not that “not designed to leave the country” would be a cure-all, depending on the situation in the specific country, but at least it would remove one temptation for using it when not strictly needed
