still not full golden hour, and i had to creep around in someone's yard to get this (and there was a little breeze), but i think you can see more of the effect. and i'll keep looking!

@inquiline oh wow wow wow that's so amazing, fantastic photo. Totally worth stepping into somebody's yard. (I say, when it's not me doing the stepping, and living safely in a country where people don't usually shoot first)

thank you! i'll keep looking!!! this flower with the showy variegated petals maybe makes up some for the lack of the light effect i was seeking
(i don't know these neighbors but they sometimes give away little succulent cuttings, i think saying "i stepped into your yard to get a shot of your gorgeous flower" would buy me a pass... in this neighborhood i'm mostly more worried about being run over or shot by drivers than residents/homeowners 😬)

Io lessi 2700, i primi numeri almeno, per puro caso. Era una serie fantastica in tutti i sensi, ma non ho mai incontrato nessun altro che la conoscesse, e ho poi scoperto che gli autori erano giovanissimi.
Sapere che adesso uno è morto, a 55 anni, è triste, ma è un'occasione per recuperarla
