Just watched/listened to Canadian PM Carney’s speech. Bold, bright, and exactly what the world needs to hear right now. I’m hopeful that more nations will listen and act in the same spirit.
At the same time, as I was watching the man, part of my brain was thinking “you’re the leader of a country. Maybe learn how to tie a full Windsor knot, my dude.”

Qualcuno ha idea delle date in cui il regno d'Italia ha emesso dei passaporti per l'interno? internet non sta aiutando, sto trovando solo delle copie di passaporti in vendita, quasi tutte della prima metà del 1900, e mi stavo chiedendo se fossero già presenti nell'ottocento, subito dopo l'unificazione (ma ovviamente sia più facile trovarne in giro di più recenti), o se siano stati introdotti più tardi.
Così, mi stavo chiedendo, se un personaggio fittizio di Milano negli anni 50 fosse stato esule a Torino a causa di, diciamo, screzi con l'autorità austriaca, e in tale città si fosse accasato, quanto rognoso sarebbe stato per la sua famiglia (piccolissima borghesia, titolari di un negozio), una volta costruita la ferrovia e avvenuta l'unificazione andarlo a trovare di tanto in tanto?
(No, non sto scrivendo un libro. sto facendo worldbuilding per storie che non scriverò mai)
