A friend of our family, we once worked together, went to see the eclipse together, a vegan as it happens. We've had him over here to cook, we've been to his place.
He tells us, after a while, most vegetarians and vegans don't want things which looked like meat anymore: the BK Impossible hamburger, etc.
That's where my little joke came from, the latest iteration of the vegetarian hamburgers and sausages -
I once lived in a sausage paradise (Franken) and found another - Wisconsin.

@tuban_muzuru yeah as a lifelong vegetarian - for ethical reasons - I am really grossed out by food that is supposed to look like a dead animal (if it makes sense)?
Plus these vegetarian alternatives are basically ultra processed products so not really healthy, so… I typically steer away
