@eniko is this about the (relatively recent) influx of fake websites with similar (or the same) ai generated summaries as the content (and them being listed high on the search engine indexes)? or am i missing something else?

@eniko What really gets me is that when new general search engines come out they're cool for a couple months and then they just start farming out their results to one of two or three other ones. It is a constant search for better search.

@eniko TBH they started to become unusable for searching usefull stuff 10 years ago. At this time, the first page of every searches were shoping plateforms only.
But this days, it's AI slop everywhere. I'm not sure which one is the worst

@RobLoach @eniko the only way to use it is via noai.duckduckgo.com but still... They're all bad and only getting worse.

@eniko The top results are mostly AI suggestions and generated contents. Even if you scroll further they are still getting less and less accurate than it used to.

Even worse is that I see a lot of people referencing these generated contents to prove their points in discussions.
