We were going through the tail end of Holst's Second Suite in F, mvmt 4 (Dargason), and I made an off-hand comment about the band slowing down because the section is quick and harder to play for the basses due to the nature of their instrument.

Cue one of the trombones: "🙋‍♂ ah, are you speed-shaming the basses?"

I had to back-pedal on that one quick!
