sorry to bother you, but I'm wondering:Is there a better way to find past conversations with another user?
I mean written interactions in posts, or the so-called DMs.
Maybe a filter reply notifications by user or date? Or a search for username + word?
I can't find some info a mutual gave me, while we were commenting a post I can't remember, and my only idea is going through all my reply notifications
Thanks!

@enriquericos
if you know their username you should be able to do in the search bar "from:@ theirusername" (without space) and all the posts that you know from them should show up.. if they have search enabled. you can add keywords in the search.for DMs that probably doesn't work and I'm not sure sure what you can do in that case except looking back in your DMs with them..

@enriquericos Since I know youโre a fan of RSS feeds too, you might be interested to know that Iโve recently found an easy way to receive posts marked as favorite via RSS. This means I can save and search posts and conversations on my own system ๐

@antoinnesterk ๐ฎ That's a great idea, thanks for sharing it with me! I have a ton of bookmarked posts I always forget to check, so this might be my solution.
BTW, which reader are you using? I'm on the online (not self-hosted) version of Commafeed, which is great, but doesn't search inside articles

@enriquericos Have been using Feedly since the other (online) synced multi-devices RSS alternatives died ;-)
I like the "Magazine" look and the fact that most sources provide a working title, image and text feed.
But for the mastodon bookmark tool mentioned above, I'm using the RSS function within my Vivaldi browser so I entries are saved.

@antoinnesterk A magazine view is what I miss most on Commafeed.
Using the RSS on Vivaldi will work, thanks again!

@enriquericos My problem was pretty much the same. But sometimes I clear out my favourites and then regret it later ๐

@enriquericos I still hope someone will invent a real-life Ctrl-Z. That would be the greatest invention the world has ever seen ๐ฅณ

@antoinnesterk When I used to spend my days painting with software and then switched to physical painting, I swear I often had the reflex of pressing Ctrl Z. I mean, I really believed, for a second, that I could undo the last stroke in real life ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
